The Ogallala Indian Summer Rendezvous just keeps getting bigger and better. The cornstalks are tied to the light posts downtown, and Rendezvous Square is ready for this year's celebration September 18-20. See the complete schedule of events here. 

THURSDAY:  The fun starts Thursday, September 18 with the annual Chili Cook-Off at 11 a.m., sponsored by the Area 14 Cattlewomen.   The food vendors will be open to serve you, and the parade steps off in downtown Ogallala at 2:30 p.m. The Ogallala High School pep rally takes place at 6 p.m. and the downtown businesses will hold huge Moonlight Madness sales from 8 to 11 p.m.

FRIDAY: The Petrified Wood and Art Gallery will host the Unique Collections exhibit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as the art show. Quilt collections will be on display at the First Congregational Church of Christ from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Friends of the Library will hold their book sale from 10 to noon at the Kathleen Lute Public Library. A Frontier Camp will be set up at 203 West 2nd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Musical entertainment will include Jim Calhoun and the Kramer Girls beginning at 6 p.m. The Drew Phillips Band performs at 9:00 p.m.

SATURDAY: The Ogallala Optimists will serve breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The annual Rendezvous Car Show will be held downtown from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Kids Korner will offer family activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Support our local veterans with the Mrs. Roper Romp fundraiser for the American Legion Hall in Ogallala beginning at 4 p.m. Wear your favorite caftan or leisure suit and romp through some of Ogallala's favorite watering holes, including  the American Legion, aka Regal Beagle, Second Chapter Brewery, Little Jerry's, The Underpass, Driftwood and ending up at Rendezvous Square.

The Quilt Show and Frontier Camp will again be on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Try your luck in the cornhole tournament from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Harvest Arts Craft Market will be set up downtown from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Live entertainment includes Honey Child at 6 p.m. and Villains Dance from 9 p.m. to midnight.
