SOUNDS ON THE SQUARE
A fantastic season of FREE LIVE MUSIC at Rendezvous Square in Ogallala wraps up Friday, July 17 with Sam Zitek from 6 to 9 p.m. Using only piano and vocals, Sam creates a relaxed and authentic performance atmosphere centered around great songs and connection. Audiences love the feel of these shows from a true "Piano Man." Bring a lawn chair and your friends. Concessions will be available on site, including beverages from Second Chapter Brewing.

INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO
As an added bonus, the Keith County Foundation Fund's hometown summer intern, Ella Schlake, has organized an Instrument Petting Zoo beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Sounds on the Square. Come try out an instrument! We'll have all sizes and styles, and we're sure you'll find something you have been curious about. All ages and experience levels welcome.

KEYSTONE LEMOYNE SAND VB TOURNAMENT
You won't find sand like this just anywhere. Lake Mac's beautiful white Sandhills sand makes for one of the best volleyball courts around. Gather your coed 4-person team and sign up for the July 18 tournament, sponsored by Keystone Lemoyne Fire & Rescue. Register here. The fun all starts at 8:00 a.m. at Arthur Bay.

KITES AND CASTLES 2026
Whether your team is competing for an award or you just want to see all the sand creations, Kites & Castles is always a great time!

KEITH COUNTY FAIR
Have you ever seen a combine derby? It's just one of the unique events at the Keith County Fair, slated for July 29 through August 1. The week kicks off with the Ogallala Round-Up Rodeo July 25-26.
This year's entertainment will be country artist Kyle Park, performing a signature blend of rock and roll and country sounds, with special guests Eben Rosentrater and Noah James. Experience everything a county fair has to offer, from carnival rides to a parade to ranch rodeo and bronc riding.
