Be sure to book ahead for boat launching services, with NGP boat ramps no longer in service this season.

Van's last day to launch is Sept. 7, with Big Mac Marina continuing through Sept. 13 and Ski Patrol continuing through Sept. 17. (Please call ahead on weekdays after Sept. 13.)

"OLD LEMOYNE" EMERGES

All of the original community’s businesses and homes were relocated or torn down during the building of Kingsley Dam, beginning in 1937. Ongoing drought is uncovering Lemoyne's fascinating history as the old foundations have become visible for the first time since 2004. OKTOBERFEST AT THE BREWERY IS SEPTEMBER 26!

It's always an Oompah Good Time at Oktoberfest at Second Chapter Brewing - Ogallala's hometown brewery. With food, music, bier & fun from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m Saturday, September 26.
The musical headliner is Neue Polka Colorado, a brass band hailing from Boulder. Local rockers Last Chance band will round out the entertainment.
Other fun will include Drift Trike Races, the Steinholding competition and more games. Food will include Bavarian Pretzels with Beer Cheese, Bratwursts and sauerkraut. Beer and food will be available for purchase by token.

OGALLALA INDIAN SUMMER RENDEZVOUS

Ogallala Indian Summer Rendezvous is a three-day community celebration September 17-19 that brings together live music, history, food, shopping, competitions, family activities and 42 years of Ogallala tradition.
Some activities are free and open to the public. A Rendezvous Event Badge is required for Friday- and Saturday-night Pavilion entertainment and Saturday’s Husker watch party.
New this year - the Rendezvous welcomes Rising Buffalo Dance Group on Saturday, September 19.
Through movement, music and cultural tradition, Rising Buffalo will bring a memorable and meaningful performance to this year’s celebration. Special thanks to the Western Trails Creative District for making this event possible.
RENDEZVOUS CAR SHOW

The big Rendezvous Car & Bike Show is an annual favorite for true car lovers! Enjoy seeing vehicles of all makes, models and eras displayed in downtown Ogallala Saturday, September 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
ASH HOLLOW LIVING HISTORY EVENT

Love the history of the Frontier Era? You won't want to miss the Ash Hollow Rendezvous Living History event Sept. 10-12 at at Ash Hollow State Historical Park near Lewellen. Activities begin at 9:00 a.m. daily and continue through the evening at the parking area on west side of Ash Hollow, south of Ash Hollow Cemetery. Displays will include trading posts, gold panning, blacksmithing, cowboy history and more.
Food vendors will be on hand Thursday - Saturday. Chuck Wagon Supper and Cowboy Poetry will take place Saturday 4:00-7:00 pm
The event is free, but a Game and Parks Vehicle Permit is required to enter the park.
